Suzanne Burrus was born in California, moving to rural Indian River, Michigan in 1971, with her husband and three children. She was business manager at the Inland Lakes School District for twenty-four years and created and wrote their first newsletters. She began writing poetry as a teenager. After her husband died and she retired, she pursued her life-dream of becoming a writer by taking several writing courses and reading, reading, reading. She still lives in the same home which has been remodeled to accommodate her sister and mother and hung a sign in front dubbing the home the Wacky Widows Wikiup. Field of Generations is Suzanne’s first novel. Her second novel Anna Lavin is in progress. |
